Descrizione


Si tratta del primo concept album nella carriera del gruppo e funge da accompagnamento musicale all'omonimo libro scritto dal frontman Mark Tremonti insieme a John Shirley, la cui storia è ambientata nel XXII secolo ed è incentrata su un'androide creata e programmata da un uomo per amarlo soltanto per riempire il vuoto causato dalla morte della sua ex-moglie.[2]

Dal punto di vista musicale, A Dying Machine risulta più dinamico e differente rispetto alle precedenti pubblicazioni dei Tremonti,[3] mantenendo le sonorità heavy metal e melodic rock ma esplorando anche blues rock (The First the Last) e trip hop (la strumentale Found).[4]

A Dying Machine ist das vierte Studioalbum der US-amerikanischen Hard-Rock/Thrash-Metal-Band Tremonti. Das Album erschien am 8. Juni 2018 über Napalm Records.

A Dying Machine is the fourth studio album and first concept album by American heavy metal band Tremonti. It was released on June 8, 2018 via Napalm Records.[4] The record was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who produced Tremonti's past three records and also produced Alter Bridge's records. The album is accompanied by a full-length novel under the same name written by Mark Tremonti and John Shirley, tying together loose ends of the album's plot.[5][6] Frontman Mark Tremonti stated that the album is the most dynamic and diverse in his entire catalog.[7] The album's first radio single, "Take You with Me", was released April 16, 2018. The single peaked at number 32 on the US Billboard Mainstream Rock Songs chart in June 2018.[8][9]
