Il CD contiene le versioni acustiche di sei brani del gruppo, tra cui una eseguita dal vivo, due cover e due brani inediti: Paternal Reversal e l'acustica Winter, scritta in memoria dell'ex batterista della band John "Beatz" Holohan, morto in seguito a un incidente stradale che coinvolse tutti i membri della formazione[1]. Il DVD contiene invece sette dei brani presenti nel CD eseguiti dal vivo, sempre acusticamente, un making of dell'album e un video dedicato a John Holohan.

Acoustic is an EP by American rock band Bayside, released on February 28, 2006. The release was in memory of John "Beatz" Holohan, the band's drummer who was killed when the band's tour bus crashed on October 31, 2005.[3] By April 2006, the EP had sold over 13,000 copies.[4] By August 2008, the EP had sold 37,000 copies.[5]
