L'album


L'album contiene nove tracce tra cui una nuova versione del brano Tie My Rope, un vecchio successo della band, e il singolo di lancio di questo disco, la title track Blooddrunk, pubblicato il 26 febbraio 2008. Lo stile di quest'ultimo album è simile a quello di Hate Crew Deathroll, con riff di chitarra tendenti verso il thrash che donano all'intero album una certo dinamismo, variando così lo stile evidenziato nel penultimo album della band finlandese Are You Dead Yet?.[senza fonte]

Dell'album è stata pubblicata anche un'edizione digipack con incluso un DVD contenente canzoni mixate in 5.1 Surround, il video di Blooddrunk (Il clip, prodotto dalla Katapult Filmproduktion, è stato girato nelle ex-caserme della Wehrmacht di Krampnitz), un segmento making-of-the-video, e una photo gallery. Nelle varie edizioni sono state incluse diverse bonus track come Ghost Riders in the Sky di Stan Jones, Lookin' Out My Back Door dei Creedence Clearwater Revival, Just Dropped In di Kenny Rogers e Silent Scream degli Slayer.

Blooddrunk ist das sechste Studioalbum der finnischen Metalband Children of Bodom. Die genaue Definition der Stilrichtung der Band ist umstritten, aber die Musik wird oft als Melodic Death Metal, Speed Metal oder Death Metal bezeichnet. Auf Blooddrunk entwickelt sie sich jedoch ein bisschen in die Richtung Progressive-, aber auch Thrash Metal.

Blooddrunk is the sixth album by Finnish melodic death metal band Children of Bodom, released on 7 April 2008 through Spinefarm Records. The album includes a re-recorded version single for "Tie My Rope". Various editions feature one or two cover songs as bonus tracks. The limited edition digipak version of the album includes a bonus DVD with 5.1 surround mixes of all songs and the video and making-of for "Blooddrunk". It sold 20,000 copies during its first week of release.[8]

Blooddrunk es el sexto álbum de la banda finlandesa de Melodic Death Metal/Power metal Children of Bodom. Se grabó en Helsinki entre finales de 2007 y principios de 2008. Su lanzamiento fue anunciado oficialmente el día 2 de abril en Finlandia y el 7 de abril en el resto de Europa; sin embargo acabó lanzándose entre el día 10 y el día 19 de abril, dependiendo del país.
