Il disco

In questo album ritornano Jørn Lande (assente nel precedente), Ronnie Atkins e Michael Kiske, mentre compaiono per la prima volta Robert Mason (Warrant), Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Geoff Tate (ex-Queensrÿche) e Marco Hietala (Nightwish). Ricompare anche Sharon den Adel, che aveva già partecipato al primo disco The Metal Opera - Part I, anche qui artefice di una struggente ballata con l'autore Tobias Sammet. Da segnalare anche la presenza di Herbie Langhans (Radiant), corista live della band dal 2013, qui in veste di protagonista sempre con Sammet.

Ghostlights ist das siebte Studioalbum des deutschen Metal-Oper-Projekts Avantasia des Musikers Tobias Sammet, der sämtliche Kompositionen und Texte des Albums geschrieben hat. Es ist am 29. Januar 2016 erschienen. Es stieg auf Platz 2 der deutschen Albumcharts ein.[1] Die erste Single-Auskopplung aus dem Album Mystery of a Blood Red Rose nahm als Beitrag beim deutschen Vorentscheid des ESC 2016 teil, wo der Song den dritten Platz belegte.[2]

Ghostlights is the seventh full-length album by Tobias Sammet's German metal opera project Avantasia. It was released on 29 January 2016.[1][3] The opening track and first single "Mystery of a Blood Red Rose" was a candidate for the German representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, along with nine other songs.[4] The Digibook edition of the album included a bonus track and a bonus CD entitled Avantasia Live, which featured songs recorded mainly during Avantasia's 2014 performance at Wacken Open Air Festival.[5]

Ghostlights — седьмой полноформатный альбом проекта Тобиаса Заммета Avantasia, выпущенный 29 января 2016 года. Сюжет альбома завершает историю, рассказанную на The Mystery of Time. В записи вокальных партий вновь приняли участие Михаэль Киске, Ронни Аткинс, Боб Кэтли. Кроме того, были приглашены Йорн Ланде, Ди Снайдер, Джефф Тейт, Марко Хиетала и многие другие. Обложку альбома создал Томас Эверхард, уже работавший над оформлением предыдущих альбомов.
