One for the Kids è il terzo album degli Yellowcard, pubblicato nel 2001 tramite Lobster Records. È il primo album completo della band in cui a cantare è Ryan Key, nonché il primo a raggiungere un più ampio consenso di pubblico, essendo la prima volta che la band è sotto contratto con una etichetta professionale. Ryan Key ha affermato che Sureshot parla in modo autobiografico di come ci si sente ad essere arrivati in una posizione invidiabile attraverso la musica, dopo che per anni si era stati presi in giro o sminuiti perché non si era atletici e spacconi come le star della scuola.[1] Dopo la bonus track acustica Rough Draft, l'album contiene una traccia silenziosa di circa due minuti ed una ghost track di 58 secondi senza titolo.

One for the Kids is the third studio album by American rock band Yellowcard. It was released on April 3, 2001 on Lobster Records and is the first Yellowcard album to include Ryan Key as lead singer and guitarist. It was produced, engineered and mixed by Darian Rundall at Stall No. 2 in Redondo Beach, California. "Drifting" and "Rock Star Land" both originally appeared on the band's previous EP, Still Standing EP.

One for the Kids es el tercer álbum de la banda estadounidense Yellowcard, y el primer disco de estudio junto a Ryan Key. Se aprecia un cambio bastante amplio en comparación de sus 2 antecesores (Midget Tossing y Where We Stand). En One For The Kids nos encontramos con un combo de 10 canciones nuevas (más 1 bonus track), 2 temas (Drifting y Rock Star Land) reeditados del Still Standing EP lanzado el 2000. Este disco es en esencia de Pop Punk, aunque hay algunas baladas acústicas como Something Of Value, Cigarette y Rough Draft. Se destacan las canciones October Nights, Big Apple Heartbreak y Sureshot, al ser frecuentemente interpretadas por la banda en sus presentaciones en vivo. La canción Cigarette (escrita por un amigo de la banda y compañero de Jacksonville, Ian Ennis) fue usada en Australia el 2006 en comerciales del show de televisión House, así como Drifting es usada en el juego Amped para Xbox.
