È stato distribuito in due formati: limited edition con 2 CD e 29 canzoni e la standard edition con un solo CD e 16 canzoni. Nello stesso giorno è stato pubblicato anche il DVD con l'intera raccolta dei videoclip della band dal 1993 al 2003.

L'opera ha creato non pochi dissensi tra i fan, visto che l'etichetta che ha pubblicato l'album è la EMI, la stessa che detiene i diritti delle canzoni dei Radiohead fino al 2003, l'anno dell'album Hail to the Thief. I Radiohead infatti si sono staccati dalla EMI solo nel 2005 e si sono autoprodotti per registrare l'album In Rainbows nel 2007. Lo stesso gruppo, in un'intervista, si è espresso contrario alla pubblicazione di questo best of.

La copertina, rappresentante due uomini stilizzati che si stringono la mano, ricorda quella di Wish You Were Here dei Pink Floyd.

Radiohead: The Best Of is a greatest hits album by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 2 June 2008 by Parlophone Records in the UK and by Capitol Records in the US, subsidiaries of EMI. It contains songs from Radiohead's first six albums, recorded while they were under contract with EMI. The compilation debuted at number 4 on the UK Albums Chart and received mostly positive reviews. Radiohead had no creative input and were critical of the release.

Radiohead: The Best Of es el nombre del primer recopilatorio del grupo británico Radiohead. El álbum posee varios singles, temas y una cara B lanzados por la banda durante el periodo 1992-2003 bajo la discográfica EMI. El primer disco, disponible por separado, posee 16 temas clásicos de la banda y los cuales lograron entrar (la mayoría) en los charts británicos, mientras que el segundo disco contiene temas menos exitosos pero aun así de igual relevancia en la historia del grupo. De forma paralela, un DVD con 21 videos del mismo periodo fue lanzado, de los cuales 21 fueron puestos en DVD por primera vez.
