Si tratta della continuazione della storia narrata nel precedente concept album The Similitude of a Dream, come spiegato dal frontman Neal Morse:[2]

Il nuovo album è esattamente questo: un complemento perfetto per la parziale rielaborazione di TSOAD su Il pellegrinaggio del cristiano di John Bunyan. Ha tutto ciò che i fan si aspettano da un album della Neal Morse Band, e ancora: elementi rock, metal, classici e jazz appaiono dappertutto, così come alcune melodie pazzesche, tutte suonate impeccabilmente da alcuni dei più grandi musicisti rock del pianeta. Questo gruppo continua a sorprendermi! Devo dire che è stato un po' scoraggiante realizzare un seguito per The Similitude of a Dream dato che era un album così speciale e che veniva proposto tutte le sere ai nostri concerti, ma credo che The Great Adventure avrà un impatto enorme.» |
