Biographie


Dominican Erik « Rook » Ortiz, Kenny « Barto » Bartolomei et Kevin « Colione » Crowe, tous originaires de Tampa, en Floride, joignent leurs forces pour lancer le groupe en 2005[1]. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. est un acronyme pour Just Undeniably Some of The Illest Composers Ever[2]. Leur nom provient de la Ligue de justice d'Amérique (en anglais « Justice League »), un groupe de super-héros de DC Comics. À leurs débuts, ils travaillent avec Young Jeezy sur sa chanson Don't Get Caught[3]. Après avoir travaillé pour Young Jeezy, Juelz Santana, et Mary J. Blige cette même année, le groupe collabore avec Rick Ross sur les albums Trilla et Deeper than Rap[1],[4],[5]. Ils travaillent aussi aux côtés de Fabolous, Ghostface Killah, Wale et Lil Scrappy[1].

En 2010, le groupe produit la chanson Don't Go de Bun B[6]. En , le groupe défend Bill Cosby de ses accusations pour viol[7].

En , le groupe publie son album J.U.S.T.I.C.E. For All album qui contient des chansons inédites[8],[9]. Il fait participer Lupe Fiasco, Future, Chris Brown, et T.I.[10].

J.U.S.T.I.C.E. (Just Undeniably Some of The Illest Composers Ever) League is an American record production team composed of producers and instrumentalists from Tampa, Florida. The group is made up of members Erik "Rook" Ortiz, Kevin "Colione" Crowe and Kenneth "Barto" Bartolomei. The group takes their name from the DC Comics superhero team the Justice League. The distinctive producer tag of a J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League production has a female voice echoing the words "Justice League" twice at the beginning of most of their songs. They have a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for their work on Mary J. Blige's The Breakthrough (2006).
