I Boston Manor sono un gruppo musicale inglese formatosi a Blackpool nel 2013. Sono sotto contratto con la Pure Noise Records, con la quale hanno pubblicato tre album[6]. Il nome del gruppo deriva da quello della stazione metropolitana londinese Boston Manor; la band ha deciso di chiamarsi così perché ci erano passati mentre andavano a trovare un amico a cui avevano rubato il titolo di una canzone[7].

Stile musicale e influenze

Lo stile musicale dei Boston Manor è spesso definito come emo pop[1] e pop punk[2][3]. Mescola l'emo con contaminazioni di grunge anni Novanta e post-hardcore anni Duemila[8], oltre che elementi tipici del punk rock[4] e del punk revival[3]. Tra le influenze della band sono stati citati Descendents, blink-182, Lifetime e Citizen[9].

Boston Manor ist eine englische Rockband aus Blackpool.

Boston Manor are a British rock band formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, in March 2013. They released a first EP, Here/Now, through Never Mend Records on Bandcamp,[4] and in 2014 they signed with Failure By Design Records for their second EP, Driftwood. In 2015 the band signed with Pure Noise Records: with them, they released another EP, Saudade, as well as their full-length albums Be Nothing (2016), Welcome to the Neighbourhood (2018) and Glue (2020). The band's sound blends emo with heavier influences, reminiscing of 90's grunge and early 2000s post-hardcore.[5] The band have been nominated for Best British Breakthrough at Kerrang! Awards in 2018[6] and Welcome to the Neighbourhood received a nomination for Best Album Artwork at Heavy Music Awards in 2019.[7]
