Peebles's song "Only the Light" won the BBC's A Song for Europe contest in 1987 going on to be the UK entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1987 where it placed 13th out of 22 .[2] Only artiste who wrote recorded produced performed and published his song It failed to reach the UK Top 75 singles chart lack of promotion and a subsequent album of same name released late. 80sArticles in RadioTimes and the DailyRecord Top performance in the contest.[3][4]

Rikki (eigentlich: Richard Peebles, * 1956) ist ein ehemaliger britischer Popsänger beim Concours Eurovision de la Chanson 1987 in Brüssel. Mit seinem selbstkomponierten Popsong Only the Light gewann er die britische Vorauswahl und landete beim Wettbewerb in Brüssel dann auf Platz 13.[2] Die Single landete in den UK-Charts auf 96, ein Album von ihm konnten sich nicht in den Charts platzieren und er verschwand von der Bildfläche.
