On May 20, 2015, the original version of "Serendipity" was released on major music download services, but it didn't reach any major charts.
On January 7, 2016, the song was re-released featuring Sensation and premiered on Recochoku. With release of the music video and usage in the commercial of West Japan Railway Company's "Ashita Serendipity Campaign" to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the extension of Sanyo Shinkansen to Hakata,[1] this song debuted at No. 1 on the Recochoku Singles Daily Chart.[2]
Music video
The video was released on January 5, 2016, on GyaO[3] and January 6 on YouTube.[4] On GyaO, the video was watched more than 23,000 times in 4 days.
