In the Sign of Evil est un EP du groupe de thrash metal allemand Sodom. La pochette a été dessinée par Joachim Pieczulski.

Il est ressorti en 1988 avec Obsessed By Cruelty sur le même disque. Les chansons de cet EP ont été ré-enregistrées en 2007 et sont sorties sur l'album The Final Sign of Evil.

In the Sign of Evil ist die erste EP der deutschen Thrash-Metal-Band Sodom. Es erschien 1984 über das SPV-Tochterlabel Devil’s Game.

In the Sign of Evil is the first EP and the debut release by West German thrash metal band Sodom, released in 1985 via Devil's Game independent record label. The record is considered part of the first wave of black metal.[2] Despite the melodic rawness, the over-the-top lyrics ("My life begins at midnight twelve, masturbate to kill myself") and the elementary structure of the songs, two of them ("Outbreak of Evil" and "Blasphemer") were regularly played by the band thirty-five years into its career, and are considered crowd favorites.[citation needed]

In the Sign of Evil (с англ. — «Под знаком зла») — первый мини-альбом и дебютный релиз немецкой трэш-метал группы Sodom, выпущенный в феврале 1985 года на независимом лейбле Devil’s Game. Пластинка считается частью первой волны блэк-метала[4]. Несмотря на сырое звучание, впадающие в крайность тексты («Моя жизнь начинается в полночь, мастурбирую, чтобы убить себя») и простую структуру песен, две из них («Outbreak of Evil» и «Blasphemer») группа продолжает исполнять вживую на протяжении более 35 лет.
