Fu anche il terzo album più venduto nel 1993 in tutto il mondo, dietro a The Bodyguard: Original Soundtrack Album di Whitney Houston e Get a Grip degli Aerosmith. L'album ha vinto 4 dischi di Platino nel Regno Unito[10] ed è stato nella top 75 della classifica UK Albums Chart per 78 settimane (un anno e sei mesi).

L'album ha venduto oltre 3 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo secondo Billboard[11], ed ha anche rappresentato la svolta per la band in tutta Europa, arrivando nella top 10 in molti paesi e nella top 30 in Australia e Giappone[9]. L'album detiene inoltre il record, per una band, per il numero di singoli in top 10 del Regno Unito (6 tracce).[9]

Da esso sono stati estratti sei singoli: Why Can't I Wake Up with You, Pray (primo di una serie di 4 singoli consecutivi ai vertici in Inghilterra e candidato come canzone dell'anno ai Grammy), Relight My Fire, Babe, Everything Changes (title track anch'essa candidata come canzone dell'anno ai Grammy) e Love Ain't Here Anymore.
