Seguito dei due lavori più celebri della band, Keeper of the Seven Keys part I (1987) e part II (1988), è il primo doppio album della band, nonché il primo lavoro registrato con il batterista svizzero Daniel Loeble. È anche il primo lavoro della band a presentare un musicista esterno come ospite, nella fattispecie Candice Night (cantante dei Blackmore's Night) che duetta con Andi Deris in Light the Universe.

Il primo CD contiene The King for a 1000 Years, che con i suoi 13:54 di durata fu all'epoca la traccia più lunga mai incisa dagli Helloween, battendo i 13:52 della remixata di Keeper of the Seven Keys.

    Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy is the eleventh studio album by German power metal band Helloween, released in 2005.[2] It is the first album with new and current drummer Dani Löble and a continuation to their 1987 and 1988 albums Keeper of the Seven Keys, Parts I and II. The album is a double CD with nearly 80 minutes playing time and comes in a digipack with 6 flaps. It was produced by Charlie Bauerfeind (Blind Guardian, Halford, Rage) and features Blackmore's Night singer Candice Night on the track "Light The Universe". The album’s opening track, “King for 1000 Years” is, to date, the longest song released by the band.

    Keeper Of The Seven Keys-The Legacy es el undécimo álbum del grupo de power metal Helloween lanzado el 31 de octubre de 2005.[1] Es el primer álbum de la banda con el baterista Dani Löble. La cantante estadounidense Candice Night aparece en la canción "Light the Universe". Es la continuación de la mítica saga de "Keeper of the seven keys part 1" (1987) y "Keeper of the seven keys part 2" (1988) siendo la "tercera parte", la conclusión de la historia de Helloween. "The king for a 1000 years" retrata el advenimiento del mal, y en contraparte "Invisible man" el del bien. Canciones como "Do you know what you're fighting for" reflexionan sobre la temática abordada, en "Occasion avenue" se refleja el pasado, presente y el futuro y en "My life for One More Day" (pieza que cierra el disco) se muestra el "combate final" entre el bien y el mal con un final ambiguo dejando al espectador la posibilidad de elegir el destino de la saga.
