Keeper of the Seven Keys – The Legacy ist das elfte Studio-Album der Band Helloween. Es wurde 2005 von SPV veröffentlicht.

Musikstil

Der Stil ist durchweg Heavy Metal, es sind allerdings durch die komplexen Arrangements Anleihen aus dem Progressive Metal zu finden.

Bedeutung

Das Album stellt die Fortführung von Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 (1987) und Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2 (1988) dar. Als die Band eine Fortsetzung ankündigte, löste die Nachricht Kontroversen unter Fans und Presse aus: Hauptaugenmerk der Skepsis war die Tatsache, dass sich die Bandbesetzung seit den ursprünglichen Alben massiv geändert hat. Vor allem das Fehlen des ursprünglichen Sängers Michael Kiske wurde als Kritikpunkt genannt.

Das Album war ein großer Erfolg für die Band (es erreichte Platz 28 der deutschen Album-Charts). Die Akzeptanz unter Fans und Kritikern fiel größtenteils positiv aus. Auf der folgenden hervorragend besuchten Welttour zeichneten Helloween ein Live-Album und eine Live-DVD auf, die 2007 veröffentlicht wurden.

Light the Universe ist das erste Duett in der Bandgeschichte. Gastsängerin ist Candice Night von Ritchie Blackmores Band Blackmore’s Night.

Keeper of the Seven Keys: The Legacy is the eleventh studio album by German power metal band Helloween, released in 2005.[2] It is the first album with new and current drummer Dani Löble and a continuation to their 1987 and 1988 albums Keeper of the Seven Keys, Parts I and II. The album is a double CD with nearly 80 minutes playing time and comes in a digipack with 6 flaps. It was produced by Charlie Bauerfeind (Blind Guardian, Halford, Rage) and features Blackmore's Night singer Candice Night on the track "Light The Universe". The album’s opening track, “King for 1000 Years” is, to date, the longest song released by the band.

Keeper Of The Seven Keys-The Legacy es el duodécimo álbum del grupo de power metal Helloween lanzado el 31 de octubre de 2005.[1] Es el primer álbum de la banda con el baterista Dani Löble. La cantante estadounidense Candice Night aparece en la canción "Light the Universe". Es la continuación de la mítica saga de "Keeper of the seven keys part 1" (1987) y "Keeper of the seven keys part 2" (1988) siendo la "tercera parte", la conclusión de la historia de Helloween. "The king for a 1000 years" retrata el advenimiento del mal, y en contraparte "Invisible man" el del bien. Canciones como "Do you know what you're fighting for" reflexionan sobre la temática abordada, en "Occasion avenue" se refleja el pasado, presente y el futuro y en "My life for One More Day" (pieza que cierra el disco) se muestra el "combate final" entre el bien y el mal con un final ambiguo dejando al espectador la posibilidad de elegir el destino de la saga.
