Contiene nove tracce registrate durante il Viva la vida Tour ed è stato reso disponibile per il download gratuito attraverso il sito ufficiale del gruppo.[2] Tale decisione è stata motivata dai Coldplay stessi come segno di gratitudine nei confronti di coloro che li hanno supportati durante la loro carriera: «suonare dal vivo è ciò che amiamo. Questo album è un ringraziamento ai nostri fan – le persone che ci danno una ragione per farlo e lo fanno accadere».[3][4]

Dopo appena una settimana l'album è stato scaricato da oltre 3 milioni e mezzo di utenti.[5] Il download è rimasto attivo per oltre tre anni, fino all'annuncio di Live 2012.[6]

Il 13 agosto 2021 il disco è stato ripubblicato per il download digitale e per lo streaming.[7]

LeftRightLeftRightLeft is the second live album by British alternative rock band Coldplay. It was released on 15 May 2009 and given away for free at all of the remaining concerts on the Viva la Vida Tour,[2] being also available as a free download on the band's official website. However, the album was removed before the release of Live 2012.[3][4] On 13 August 2021, nearly twelve years after its first release, the album was made available on streaming services.[5]
