Contiene la registrazione dei due concerti tenuti dal gruppo presso la Royal Albert Hall di Londra, durante i quali sono stati accompagnati da un'orchestra di 52 elementi (la Parallax Orchestra) diretta da Simon Dobson, il quale ha contribuito ai nuovi arrangiamenti orchestrali dei brani.[2]

Per l'occasione il gruppo ha eseguito anche brani raramente proposti dal vivo durante la loro carriera, come The End Is Here o Words Darker Than Their Wings, quest'ultimo tratto da AB III e mai suonato in precedenza.[3]

Live at the Royal Albert Hall is the fourth live album by the American rock band Alter Bridge. Recorded on October 2 and 3, 2017, at Royal Albert Hall in London, England, the band played two sold-out shows with the 52-piece Parallax Orchestra, conducted by Simon Dobson.[1] For the occasion, the band performed songs that are rarely played, such as The End Is Here and Words Darker Than Their Wings, the latter receiving its live debut.[2]
