La copertina


Eddie viene raffigurato nel momento in cui esce dalla sua tomba e afferra il becchino per il collo. Nella versione rimasterizzata dell'album, pubblicata nel 1998, l'immagine si presenta orfana del becchino. Nella copertina originale della versione LP è inserita un'iscrizione all'interno della placchetta posta sulla lapide della tomba:

«Dopo la luce del giorno, la notte del dolore. Non è morto ciò che può sorgere ancora»

No Prayer for the Dying (engl. für: „Kein Gebet für die Sterbenden“) ist das achte Studioalbum der britischen Heavy-Metal-Band Iron Maiden. Das Album wurde am 1. Oktober 1990 von EMI veröffentlicht.

No Prayer for the Dying is the eighth studio album by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It is their first album to feature Janick Gers on guitar, who replaced Adrian Smith. This marks their first line-up change since 1982; Smith left the band during the pre-production phase, unhappy with the musical direction it was taking,[1] and only having contributed to one song, "Hooks in You".[2] Gers previously worked with singer Bruce Dickinson on his first solo album, Tattooed Millionaire,[3] and had also worked with Ian Gillan,[4] former Marillion singer Fish,[4] and new wave of British heavy metal band, White Spirit.[5]
