Nel 2019 diventa il secondo album nella storia della musica (dopo il suo successore Blurryface) a essere riuscito a ottenere la certificazione di disco d'oro negli Stati Uniti per ogni singola traccia in esso contenuta.[7]


Descrizione


Il disco si compone di dodici brani, sei dei quali erano già contenute nel precedente album Regional at Best e per l'occasione registrati nuovamente.[2] L'edizione deluxe dell'album presenta quattro bonus track, tutte già presenti in Regional at Best; solo il singolo in esclusiva per il Giappone Lovely è stato registrato nuovamente.

La copertina del disco consiste in una foto dei nonni paterni dei membri del gruppo Tyler Joseph e Josh Dun.

Successo commerciale


Nonostante le discrete vendite nel suo anno di uscita, Vessel ha riscosso maggior successo commerciale due anni dopo, nel 2015, all'uscita del successivo album della band Blurryface.[8] Nel 2019 tutte le tracce dell'album risultano certificate dalla RIAA almeno disco d'oro per i numerosi download e streaming singoli ricevuti,[6] rendendo l'album il secondo nella storia discografica a raggiungere tale risultato dopo Blurryface.[9]

Vessel ist das Debüt-Major-Album und das insgesamt dritte Studioalbum des Duos Twenty One Pilots aus Columbus, Ohio. Dem Album ging die Veröffentlichung von zwei Singles voraus. Am 11. Vessel is the third studio album by American musical duo Twenty One Pilots, which was released on January 8, 2013. It is the band's first album released via Fueled by Ramen, and is their major-label debut album. Vessel debuted at number 58 on the Billboard 200 chart, but reached number 21 in 2016. As of July 2019, the album has sold over two million equivalent album units.[7] All of its tracks have been certified at least Gold by the RIAA, which made Twenty One Pilots the first group or artist to achieve this feat with two separate albums.[8]
