Pubblicata nel 2000, solo in Europa e Australia, il brano è riuscito ad entrare nella Billboard Hot 100, ottenendo un ottimo successo oltreoceano. Inoltre il brano ha procurato alla Lopez la sua seconda nomination ai Grammy Award come "miglior performance dance" nel 2001 (la prima era stata per Waiting for Tonight l'anno prima).

La canzone, scritta da Kike Santander e Gloria Estefan, era stata inizialmente pensata per quest'ultima, la quale però riteneva che il brano fosse troppo simile ad altri suoi lavori precedenti, ed invece si addicesse bene alla Lopez.

In Australia ed in Europa, dove il singolo ha ricevuto una massiccia programmazione radiofonica, la canzone è diventata una specie di inno per alcuni fra i maggiori eventi sportivi trasmessi in TV, anche per via del suo testo particolarmente energetico.

In Italia è il terzo singolo della cantante ad essere entrato in top10.


Video musicale


Non è stato girato un video musicale, ma come tale per promuovere il brano è stata utilizzata una esibizione dell'anno precedente eseguita al Rose Bowl a Pasadena in occasione dei campionato mondiale di calcio femminile (dove Lopez eseguì anche il suo primo successo If You Had My Love).

Let’s Get Loud ist ein Lied der amerikanischen Sängerin Jennifer Lopez. Es erschien 1999 auf ihrem Debütalbum On the 6 und wurde am 9. Juni 2000 als fünfte und letzte Single des Albums veröffentlicht. 2000 wurde Lopez mit dem Song, nachdem sie bereits im Vorjahr mit Waiting for Tonight nominiert worden war, zum zweiten Mal für den Grammy als beste Dance-Aufnahme nominiert.[1]

"Let's Get Loud" is a song recorded by American singer Jennifer Lopez for her debut studio album On the 6 (1999). Originally written by the song's co-writer Gloria Estefan for herself, she felt as if the song was too similar to her previous material and passed it onto Lopez. Estefan, who co-wrote the song alongside Kike Santander, stated that Lopez would have "more fun with it" and would put "a new spin" on it. "Let's Get Loud" is sometimes regarded as Lopez's signature song.[2] Estefan eventually released her own version of the song in 2011 as a bonus track on the deluxe Target edition of her album Miss Little Havana.
